YAK BELIEVES

Yakubu has vowed to take the pressure off the defence by netting the goals that will fire Everton into the Uefa Cup in the next fortnight.
The Nigerian international has netted just once in the last 10 games, leaving him tantalisingly one goal short of becoming the first Everton player since Peter Beardsley in 1991/92 to score 20 goals in a campaign.
But Yakubu is confident his scoring touch will return in the key games over the next fortnight against Arsenal and Newcastle - and he has hailed the role his close friend Joseph Yobo and the rest of the Everton defence has played in maintaining the side's top five status during the barren run for the strikers.
David Moyes' men have not been outside the European qualifying places since early December.
The form of the defence has been pivotal, with Everton racking an impressive haul of 20 clean sheets in all competitions this term - 14 in the Premier League.
Yobo and fellow defensive stalwart Phil Neville helped out at the other end of the field by netting in Sunday's tense 2-2 draw with Villa.
Yakubu told evertonTV: "The back four this season have been doing a great job, a fantastic job and so have the midfield. Everybody in the team is doing a good job. Us strikers have not scored in the last four or five games but we have to just keep doing the job and it is thanks to the defenders that we are scoring goals.
"When Joseph scored (on Sunday) we thought it was over and we were so happy for him because it was his first goal of the season. He has been doing so well for the team so it was good for him to score.
"We did so well (against Villa), we played as a team and fought for each other. We are disappointed that we didn’t get the three points but we have to take the one point.
"I still believe before the end of the season us strikers can score goals in the last two games.
"We strikers are under pressure when we don’t score but I am used to being under pressure but keep working and I still believe I can score goals.
"For me I still believe I will score 20 goals."

As long as you are given the right support you will score, I am in NO doubt you will break the 20 barrier this season and take us back into Europe
C'mon Yak. Score against Arsenal on Sunday and get revenge for the 4-1 loss in December and get us into UEFA. Just put the work effort in that you did against Brann, Fulham, Chelsea and Portsmouth and we'll have a great day at the Emirates.
FEED DA YAK AN HE WILL SCORE
Yea , yeah i believe the Yak will score for us in the next two games! Our defence, perhaps for Manchester United, has been the most outstanding this season! Phil Jagielka is something else, so are all our back four! I also pray that Tim Howard breaks the clean sheet records even if its in the last game against Newscastle! Why has no penalties been awarded for us season long? Yak can score against Arsenal. Smile on us Lady luck! Good luck Toffees! Go get the 5th place at the Emirates!

every player in the prem apart from ronaldo has had a quiet spell, ours is due to our inuries all being in attacking areas leaving no support for the yak, who is the most success striker at the club in recent years
